    Terry is a qualified Maintenance Technician by trade who has worked within and managed engineering departments. Terry gained much of his experience working within the chemical industry and the non-ferrous metals and plastics industry.

    Knowledgeable and driven to provide high-quality, yet practical health and safety advice; Terry, with business partner David set up Sound Safety Advice Ltd. Since establishing the business in 2002, Terry has been involved with setting up health and safety management systems and designing and delivering personalised training programmes for a wide range of small and medium sized businesses.

    Terry has also been involved in a number of construction projects by assisting Clients, Principal Contractors and Principal Designers fulfil their duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Qualified and experienced. Terry is a Chartered Member of The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH), he is also registered on the Occupational Health and Safety Consultants Register (OHSCR) and recently qualified as a Mental Health First Aider.

    Managing a business will always come with its challenges and so often health and safety can be perceived as a necessary evil or a drain on finances and resources. However, from my experience investing in and implementing effective, yet practical health and safety management systems, will not only keep companies compliant but will present them in a professional and responsible light.

    David is a qualified chemist by trade with over 25 years’ experience of managing health and safety. He has gained much of his experience working for a multinational nonferrous metals mining and smelting organisation and has extensive experience of carrying out health and safety audits in the UK, Europe and Australia.

    Passionate and accomplished, David set up Sound Safety Advice Ltd. with Terry in 2002 and since then he has been involved with setting up professional but straightforward health and safety management systems for a wide range of small and medium sized businesses.

    David has also worked on a number of construction projects assisting Clients, Principal Contractors and Principal Designers fulfil their duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.     Health and Safety is not to be taken lightly especially with the recent changes to the sentencing guidelines which has seen fines for health and safety offences increase dramatically.
